The last week of our Kickstarter is upon us, dear friends! We are getting close to the €80k stretch goal which unlocks the Training Simulator Building Pieces next. Fingers crossed we reach that goal this weekend.

After that, the next goal would be €100k, for the inclusion of the Luftwaffe as a 2nd playable faction in the base game. We would love to ship the base game with two playable sides, so we will keep informing as many people as we can about our project.

We made a few preview scenes of how a Luftwaffe air base could look like in Ground of Aces: 

Playing as the evil side, fighting against your values and morals, is an ambivalent situation for us as gamers and developers. What are your thoughts on playing as a historical faction that is fighting for evil goals? How would your air base look and operate differently if you play as the Luftwaffe?

Another stretch goal reached! Thank you for getting our project to the €70k milestone! This unlocks alternative colors for your building pieces.

The next stretch goal at €80k: Simulator Training Building Pieces. Construct a place to create WWII airplane simulators to increase your pilot's handling of planes. 

How can we reach the next stretch goals?

Tell more people about Ground of Aces! And you can do that by completing Mission Briefings. When you do four missions, you will get the bonus deluxe DLC for free as a reward (plus there are giveaway prizes!).

Today's project recommendation: Library of Jakkarth

Library of Jakkarth is a board game for 2 to 5 players all about exploring a long forgotten magical library. Reveal new rooms during your turn, get sweet loot like mystic keys, cursed relics and mighty spells and use them to get rid of your fellow players. Your goal: find 5 magic keys and open the gate to win the game! But beware: if you venture too far into the mysterious labyrinth, you might awaken the ancient guardians. And they are out to get you!

We have updated our page with further information about the bonus content inside the Deluxe DLC "Wings of Valor":

You will get this DLC with the game if you pick the Deluxe Base Crew Member tier or higher. If you picked a lower tier,  the Base Crew Member tier, you can still get it as a FREE reward by completing at least four Mission Briefings. Mission Briefings give you social media tasks that help our game to reach more people. The more people we reach, the more game content we can make for you, like Germany as a playable side. Unlocked and decided by the community!

Part of the bonus content was added by the Ground of Aces community before the Kickstarter started by reaching goals we set for followers number of the "Coming Soon" page. Now the community can vote on the bonus airplanes and later on two iconic pilot NPCs for your base roster. The winner of the first vote was the de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito. This week, the voting for the second bonus airplane has started.

Project recommendation: Fighters of Europe 

A fast-paced tactical board game of air combat over Europe during World War 2. Enter the fury of airbattles on the western front.

There is a good chance this WWII board game is also appealing to many of our backers. The Kickstarter campaign for FIGHTERS OF EUROPE is almost at the end, but you still have the chance to check it out and support it!

We have reached our €60k stretch goal, which means fishing as an activity for your pilots and crew members will be included in the game!

With €60k, we are now at 200% of our initial funding goal. Amazing! Thank you all so much for supporting the project!

And what are the next stretch goals?

The next minor stretch goal is at €70k and will unlock three alternative color styles for your building pieces, be it for tarp, wood, brick or metal pieces. 

Don't forget our major goal at €100k: GERMANY gets added as a playable side to the base game. If we can keep the current momentum up, we can reach that goal. 🤞 

Let's bring more people on board to make more content possible!

Imagine how far we would come if every backer brings one more person on board. With around 2000 backers we would easily reach the major stretch goal for unlocking the Germany. How can we do that? You can help by sharing the project with your friends who are also gamers and/or WWII aviation fans.

Stretch goal for intel buildings reached! Next, we go fishing!

We have reached €50,000 for our 2nd stretch goal! Thank you all so much for your support! Reaching this goal means you will be able to set up intel buildings in the game to improve your pilots' chances in battle.

Next stretch goal: Fishing! 🎣 Pilots and crew members can go fishing in ponds and streams. A relaxing activity that can sometimes lead to great food and bragging rights.

We are really happy with the progress of these first few days. But no reason to slow down, you can still help to make Ground of Aces even bigger!
